73rd Annual Children's Shopping Tour

This December 7th 2024, the Salinas Valley Chamber of Commerce Foundation hosted its annual Children's Shopping Tour at the Northridge Mall, bringing joy to 400 local children in grades 1-4. This beloved tradition provided essential winter and school clothing to children in our region, while also delivering $50,000 economic boost to local retailers.

A heartfelt thank you to our presenting sponsors—Chevron, Harden Foundation, Alco Water Service, and Northridge Mall—for their unwavering support. The generosity of all of our sponsors, along with the efforts of the CST Committee and hundreds of volunteers, made this event possible.

The Children’s Shopping Tour collaborates with local school districts and teachers, ensuring that resources are directed where they are most impactful. Each child, paired with a chaperone, shopped at participating retailers, including JCPenney, Macy's, The Children's Place, and Old Navy.

As we conclude this year's tour, we're already gearing up for next year, aiming to continue making a positive difference in the lives of Salinas Area youth through charitable giving and volunteerism.
