The Western StageHartnell College offers community education classes for children, youth and adults. Dance, art, sports and theater classes are offered throughout the year. If theater interests your children, The Western Stage and Ariel Theatrical offer instruction and opportunities for them to perform. The Western Stage’s Young Company Division provides training, performance, design and directional opportunities for young actors and technicians between 8 and 18. Ariel Theatrical is located in Oldtown Salinas, and also provides a place for children to learn about theater and performance. First Baptist Church of Salinas also offers activities, including instruction in the performing arts, for both children and teenagers.
